Children playing outdoors.

Recent research on the brain and child development, together with an important report from the American Academy of Pediatrics, tells us that young children need simple outdoor play experiences in the natural world if they are to thrive physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and creatively.

In this playful, hands-on workshop for adults we will discover how outdoor play and a connection with Nature positively impact the young child. We will explore simple play activities and everyday nature experiences that are accessible to all children.

Participants will leave this workshop with developmental resource materials and suggestions for Nature and Play experiences that are appropriate for educators, parents and grandparents.

This two-hour workshop is designed to be presented at your location, and can include additional material and focus addressing the specific needs of your participants.

Each attendee leaves our workshops and workshops with a useful portfolio of resource materials that include developmental resources, bibliographies and activity guides.
